This webinar will introduce sustainability reporting and the relevant requirements for SGX listed companies. Nonfinancial reports helped stimulate the growth of sustainable investing. There is clear evidence that the financial performance of companies corresponds to how well they handle environmental, social, governance (ESG), and other nonfinancial matters.
Sustainability reporting adds value by heightening an organization’s awareness to remain robust and resilient through deployment of sustainable and efficient processes. This is achieved through organisation-wide goals to manage profitability, invest in human capital and reduce damages to the environment.
The acceleration towards ESG investing has been driven by social, governmental, and consumer attention on the stakeholders. Investors realize that a strong ESG proposition can safeguard a company’s long-term success. The magnitude of investment flow suggests that ESG investing is here to stay for the longer term. The participants will learn ways to identify listed companies with strong ESG proposition, how a strong ESG proposition creates shareholder value, and how ESG investing can result in long term returns for their portfolios while caring for the environment.
